So, it's all official. I am embracing my official Race for Life alter-ego 'Sarah Champagne-Perspiration' and getting ready to run around Nottingham Holme Pierrepont on Sunday 31 July 2011.
I'll be joined by at least one other member of Team Run fat Girl, Run and will be using the NHS Couch to 5k to get race ready. No, really, this year is the year I *will* do some training!
As I've had my postnatal check up and am back on the weightloss waggon as well (feel free to join me up here, the lettuce is...crispy) it seems as good a time as any to get my wobble on the road. I'll blog the highs, lows and many 'meh' moments I'm bound to encounter over the next 6 months here.

Team Run, Fat Girl, Run
Team Run, Fat Girl, Run formed in 2008 to undertake Race for Life.
Since then the number of girls has wavered between four and eight and we've undertaken three Race for Life events, a midnight walk and a 22 mile channel swim.
Across all the events we've raised around £3000 for charity and had some absolutely amazing moments as friends.

- Race for Life 2010 - 10km at Kedleston Hall, Derby 18 July 2010. Completed in 2 hrs 15 mins. Raised around £700
- Race for Life 2009 - 5km at Nottingham Holme Pierrepont Sunday 26 July 2009. Raised more than £1000
- Katie's Midnight Walk - five mile midnight walk - 20 June 2009 - Donated £80
- Swim the Channel - 22 mile swim at local pool between September and December 2008 for Aspire, supporting people with spinal injuries. Raised around £40!!!
- Race for Life - 5k at Nottingham Holme Pierrepont. 27 July 2008. Completed in 1hr 5mins. Raised £800
